SCIENCE2004 OPENING NIGHT RECEPTION AND "FIRST LOOK" TECHNOLOGY SHOWCASE

Once again this year, the Opening Night Reception will feature a special display of new technologies that have been developed by researchers from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University and that are now available for licensing. The Technology Showcase is being organized by the Office of Enterprise Development, Health Sciences. This evening's events, which are open to all registrants, are always a great place to network, socialize, unwind--or whatever you want to call it.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR EMERGING SCIENTISTS

In a two-hour, interactive session, experts in a variety of science-related fields will offer insight and advice for postdocs and graduate students about career opportunities in the life sciences. This workshop is being presented by the Office of Academic Career Development, Health Sciences, and the University of Pittsburgh Postdoctoral Association.
